How to Activate Your eSIM After Purchase
Order Your eSIM. Once you’ve purchased your eSIM, you’ll automatically receive an email containing a QR code and a link to track your data usage.
- Scan the QR Code
Open the email and scan the provided QR code with your phone. This will prompt your device to ask if you want to add a mobile data plan. - Accept and Wait for Activation
After accepting, your phone will start the activation process. It may take a few moments for your eSIM to be fully activated. - Activation in Your Destination Country
If you activated the eSIM before reaching your destination, it might display "activating" until you arrive. Once you reach your destination country, the eSIM will fully activate and be ready for use. - Ensure Data Usage from eSIM
When you arrive at your destination, make sure that the eSIM is set as the primary data source. Go to your Mobile Network settings, where you can select your eSIM as the preferred data option.
This way, you'll avoid using roaming or your primary SIM card and ensure that you’re using your eSIM data plan while traveling.
How to set up an eSIM manually on your iPhone
1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
Locate and open the "Settings" app on your home screen.
2. Go to the Mobile Data or Cellular section
Tap on "Cellular" or "Mobile Data", depending on your language settings.
3. Add your eYSIM to the iPhone
Tap on "Add Cellular Plan" or "Add Mobile Data Plan".
4. Enter the eYSIM details manually
At the bottom of the screen, tap "Enter Details Manually".
Use the information we provided with your eYSIM, which includes:
SM-DP+ Address: This is the server address used to activate the eYSIM.
Activation Code: If included, this code will assist with setup.
5. Input the provided eYSIM information
Copy and paste the SM-DP+ address and any activation code from our eYSIM documentation into the appropriate fields.
Double-check the details to ensure everything is accurate.
6. Save and activate your eYSIM
After entering the details, tap "Save" to start the activation process.
Your iPhone will now configure the eYSIM. This may take a few moments.
7. Confirm that the eYSIM is active
Once the process is complete, return to the Cellular or Mobile Data settings.
Verify that the eYSIM appears in the list of active plans.
8. Set preferences for your eYSIM
You can choose whether the eYSIM will be your primary plan data. Adjust these preferences in the Mobile Data Options.
Keep in mind:
In some cases, the eYSIM may appear as “activating” even after setup is complete. This is normal if the eYSIM is designed to function in a specific destination country.
The eYSIM will fully activate and work once you are in the destination country.
